Mission
The Pool/Hot Tub Service Technician will travel to customer’s homes to open and close pools, and perform repairs on pools, pool liners, spas, and related equipment.
Pay
$20-$28/hour based on experience
Outcomes
Successful candidates will:
- Perform water chemistry tests and make chemical adjustments as needed to ensure optimum water quality to meet customer requirements
- Open and close pools, maintaining cleanliness of work area and customer’s property
- May obtain and install equipment and accessories and test for proper function; provide instructions to the customer on proper use and care
- Under direction of a Pool/Spa Technician II, assist in testing and making repairs to pumps, heaters, filters, and other equipment according to manufacturer’s instructions
- Review and update work orders and details, customer concerns, and any related information relative to repair work
Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Driver’s license, clear of major infractions, and subject to approval from the insurance company
- Experience using basic hand and power tools
- Experience in a skilled trade such as plumbing or electrical preferred ,but not required
Skills
- Ability to follow safety instructions and promote a safe working environment
- Ability to read technical diagrams or blueprints
- Customer friendly, observant and well organized
- Experience in following verbal and written guidelines to perform job function
Physical and Environmental Conditions
- Talking and hearing, walking and sitting, using hands to grasp, pushing, pulling, climbing, crouching, kneeling, and reaching with arms/hands, are required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, and up to 20 pounds frequently, to move objects.
- Good hand-eye coordination.
- Exposure to outside adverse environmental conditions, such as fumes, dust, oils and lubricating fluids, mechanical moving parts, moving vehicles, fluctuating weather conditions, and occasional hazardous chemicals or materials.
