The RV Service Advisor provides outstanding service to customers by collaborating with them on how best to maintain and repair their RV for an optimal recreation experience. RV Service Advisors educate customers on the safety, peace of mind, and RV asset value benefits of performing preventative maintenance and supplemental services, as well as recommended accessories.

Pay: Hourly base rate plus commissions. Pay can range from $20-$38 per hour.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:30am-5pm with rotating Saturdays
 
Job Duties:

  • Develop year-round relationships with customers by proactively contacting them to schedule routine Inspections, review service records/history, and providing expert consultation on recommended services for their RV
  • Listen to customers for any reported problems with their RV. Clarify and document information into a work order for technicians to perform necessary services or repairs.
  • Perform walk around inspections on RV units to uncover repair needs and demonstrate the value of maintenance services and accessories
  • Verify warranty and service contract coverage by examining records and explaining provisions and exclusions; interact and negotiate with insurance and contract companies
  • Develop estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor.
  • Explain estimates, obtain customer's approval/payment method, and confidently answer questions and concerns
  • Create service/repair work orders and match technicians to them; oversee technician’s work status and review for accurate billing and payment for time worked
  • Maintain records of corrective actions planned, customer contacts, and work order authorizations
  • Grow RV industry knowledge through Alpin Haus’ in-house training programs, personal research, and taking advantage of company provided benefits and discounts to have your own RV experience!
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position supervises a group of Service Technicians.  In some locations, this position also supervises a group of Detailers. 

Qualifications
  • High school diploma
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing service role desirable
  • General knowledge of motor vehicles, building trades or RVs helpful, but not required
Competencies
  • Verbal communication skills for friendly and effective customer and employee interactions
  • Ability to listen and confirm understanding with customers, and then accurately convey information both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to adjust to changing priorities through efficient and productive planning, organizing, and scheduling
  • Works effectively both alone and in a team environment, and establishes collaborative working relationships with peers and staff
